After losing all their money to a thieving business manager video store mogul Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy who co-created with son Daniel) his soap opera actress wife Moira (Catherine O'Hara) and their grown children David (Daniel Levy) and Alexis (Annie Murphy) must abandon their upscale lifestyle.
