Simply go into the Bluetooth settings search for the Apple Pencil and press the information button and then un-pair it 5) Make sure the pen is turned on: just press the pen head twice to turn it on/off it will automatically connect to the iPad. No Bluetooth or apps required. The small LED at the top will light up everything is ready
