We first meet Nathan Jameson as a four-year-old boy whose father abandons him at the customer service / Lost & Found counter of an A&P grocery store. Twenty-nine years later after brutal years in foster care Jameson now owns a bookstore in Southern New Jersey and an investigation business named Lost & Found Investigations. With his bookstore assistant manager and co-owner of the Investigations business Heather Sandberg Jameson takes on a new case involving a young woman Victoria Anderson whose grandmother just passed away. Anderson like Jameson never knew her parents because they died in a single-engine plane crash in 1999. Now Anderson is being followed; her home was searched as was that of her grandmother’s home and she enlists the help of Nathan and Heather. What they soon discover is that her grandmother is not related to her;
